Residences at Bulle Rock earns a landscaping design award

The Residences at Bulle Rock in Havre de Grace was victorious in the National Sales and Marketing Council’s Nationals awards competition, the nation’s largest competition for new-home sales an marketing professionals and communities.
Awards were presented during the National Association of Home Builder’ International Builders’ Show in Orlando, Fla. The Residences at Bulle Rock received the Regional Award for a Detached Community.
Planned by Morris Ritchie & Associates Inc. of Abingdon, the resort-style community was cited for “utilizing existing topography, maximizing views and planning builder streetscapes to integrate existing natural and manmade elements into the overall land design and marketing presentation.”
The award recognized Bulle Rock’s landscape design for its “high color and high impact landscape design” that “created a lasting first impression at marketing entryways. Alternate use of low maintenance planting off the main thoroughfare allowed for balance in the budget process. The result is an efficient way to present the past and the historic nature of the site as well as the developers’ and residents visions for the future.”
“It is an honor to continue to be recognized for superior attention to detail and concerns for the surrounding environment,” said Brenda Desjardins, a spokeswoman for The Residences at Bulle Rock, in a press release, while noting that the community was named 2007 Project of the Year by the Land Development Council of the Home Builders Association of Maryland.
With the slogan, “Life Imitates Vacation,” The Residences at Bulle Rock is being built around the five-star Bulle Rock Golf Course, home of the McDonald’s LPGA Championship for one more year and ranked Maryland’s No. 1 public golf course by several regional and national golf publications.
Under development by Manekin LLC, Clark Turner and H&S Properties Development Corporation, the community will comprise approximately 2,200 single-family, villa and condominium homes built by Clark Turner Signature Homes, D.R. Horton, NVHomes, Ryan Home, and Ryland Homes. The community’s social and recreational centerpiece is the 37,000-square-foot Residents’ Club, which features indoor and outdoor pools, a cardiovascular health and wellness center, tennis and bocce courts and a cyber café.
