Clark Turner has been named the Home Builders Association of Maryland's Homebuilder of the Year. It is the second time Turner, President of the Belcamp-based Clark Turner Signature Homes, has received the award.

Turner has been the HBAM Developer of the Year and his projects have won Awards of Excellence for quality and value 36 times. The HBAM Land Development Council has named three of his residential communities as Project of the Year.

Clark Turner Signature Homes was selected to be the builder for an episode of ABC-TV's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. It aired in January as the company marked its 30th anniversary.

The Land Development Council Developer of the Year award was presented to Richard Alter, of Manekin LLC, who has worked with Turner in the development of the Residences at Bulle Rock and the Water's Edgewater Corporate Campus.

Linda Veach of Bob Ward Companies was recognized for her service to the association and as being the first woman president of HBAM. She has served four years on the Association's Executive Committee and represented HBAM on the National Association of Home Builders Board of Directors.

The Home Builders Association of Maryland is a not-for-profit organization whose 1,200 member firms represent more than 100,000 employees, including home builders, commercial and industrial builders, remodelers, material suppliers, subcontractors, lending institutions, developers, manufacturers, utilities, realtors and architects.
