BULLE ROCK HOMEOWNERS DONATE ANOTHER $10,000 TO RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES
HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. (June 5, 2008) − For the second year in a row, homeowners at The Residences at Bulle Rock, the resort-style community being built around the five-star Bulle Rock Golf Course, have donated $10,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore, Inc.
“The residents at Bulle Rock have truly enabled enhanced care for thousands of children who call Maryland’s Ronald McDonald House their second home,” said Marianne Rowan-Braun, executive director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore, Inc. “The consistent generosity bestowed enables all families the gift of our home despite an ability to pay. My thanks is surpassed only by that of our families.”
The Bulle Rock residents raised the money by purchasing passes to the McDonald’s LPGA Championship, occurring this week at the Bulle Rock Golf Course. They also purchased passes to the new “dining chalet” that will operate during the Championship on the 18th hole, and tickets to Taste of Harford at the LPGA, which was held last night at The Residents’ Club at The Residences at Bulle Rock. (Last year, the residents raised the funds by purchasing McDonald’s LPGA Championship passes, as well as www.bullerock.com wristbands.)
“We thank the Bulle Rock homeowners for their continued support of Ronald McDonald
House Charities and the McDonald’s LPGA Championship,” said Peter Wilder, director of business development for the McDonald’s LPGA Championship
Yesterday at the Bulle Rock Golf Course driving range, Bulle Rock residents George and
Tara Hutschenreuter and daughter, Taylor (who stayed at the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore as an infant) ,presented an oversized check to “Ronald McDonald,” Joshua Harden, volunteer and community relations manager of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore, Inc.; Chris Gabriel, global Board member of Ronald McDonald House Charities and general chairman of the McDonald’s LPGA Championship, and Tim Kennedy, director of development of Ronald McDonald House Charities.
“We are extremely proud that our residents continue to give back to help the community,” said Brenda Desjardins, a spokeswoman for The Residences at Bulle Rock, noting that the residents’ fundraising efforts at the 1st Annual Bulle Rock Turkey Trot helped raise over $14,400 to purchase new emergency equipment for The City of Havre de Grace and the Susquehanna Hose Company.
